What I’m most thankful for

Unlike most young children in the world my father protected me from being indoctrinated by religion until I was old enough to think for myself.

I think my father knew I was able analyze these silly religious myths them by the time I was nine. On a vacation some relatives forced me to go to Vacation Bible School. I was kicked out since I ask that inconvenient question of “Why” coupled with me saying “That doesn’t make sense”. (Nine year old children are not exactly PC and they do blurt.)

Flame NebulaI was immune to the religious myths when I learned about evolution and discovered the beauty of nature and its working in the 10th grade.

(I took that astronomical photograph and processed it. The exposure was several hours long using a telescope in New Mexico and three different filters.)
